Cheng Xiaomin, member of the CPPCC National Committee, put forward a proposal on “Building a Collaborative Innovation Platform for R&D of Auto Parts in the Hangzhou Bay New Area†at the 14th session of the CPPCC. The automobile and parts industry is one of the five key competitive industries in Ningbo and one of the ten key supporting industries. In recent years, the scale of the industry has continuously expanded. According to the industrial development plan, Hangzhou Bay New District will create an optimal place for the strategic investment of the internationally renowned automobile complete vehicle and key component manufacturers. Member Cheng Xiaomin pointed out that in order to support the development and promotion of the automobile and parts industry in Ningbo, it is urgent to build a high-level collaborative innovation platform for research and development of auto parts. To this end, she proposed to build a collaborative innovation platform for auto parts research and development in the Hangzhou Bay New District. The goal is to build the platform into an international automotive technology innovation public service platform serving Ningbo and even Zhejiang and the entire country.
At the inspection meeting, the proposal management unit of Hangzhou Bay New District Administrative Committee reported the proposal handling status. It is understood that the Hangzhou Bay New Area Administrative Committee and other units fully absorb the proposals. At present, the city has begun to build a high-level collaborative research and development platform for auto parts development.
The committee members conducted face-to-face consultations and exchanges with relevant units on the implementation of proposals and commitments. Field visits to the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group and the Shanghai Volkswagen Ningbo Base project construction site were conducted, and further comments and suggestions were made on the construction of automotive and component technology R&D platforms.
