China's self-developed design and production of ship ballast water management system with completely independent intellectual property rights - Qingdao Shuangrui BalClorTM (trade name) BWMS (abbreviation of ballast water management system), on August 6 through the international authority certification body - The type approval of the Norwegian Classification Society (DNV) marks that the system has obtained the “World Pass” for entering the global ship market and can install more foreign ships, which is of great significance for further exploring the international market. On August 15, Qingdao Shuangrui received the original DNV type approval certificate from the Norwegian Classification Society.

The Norwegian Classification Society is an internationally recognized certification body widely accepted by shipowners and has a good reputation among shipowners, shipyards and design institutes around the world. In order to further explore the international market, in January 2011, Qingdao Shuangrui became the first ballast water management system approved by China Classification Society and the first set of approved ballast water management system in China. Application.

Type approval by the Norwegian Classification Society must be carried out by its own surveyor at the headquarters. In order to speed up the process, in March 2011, Dr. Liu Guangzhou, researcher and research and development department of Qingdao Shuangrui, went to the headquarters of the Norwegian Classification Society to introduce the working principle, technical design and land-based of Qingdao Shuangrui ballast water management system. The experimental and actual ship experiment process and results, as well as the IMO approval situation, were very satisfied with the other side on the spot, and introduced the certification requirements and complicated procedures, technical documents to be submitted, and on-site inspections to Qingdao Shuangrui.

In particular, it is noted that the five ballast water management systems in the world, which were previously issued by the Norwegian Classification Society, were carried out in Norway (laboratory NIVA). The laboratory has built a ground-based experimental facility for ballast water management system testing. From the experimental program, system operation, water sample collection to testing, reporting and other dozens of dozens of content are all arranged by the laboratory. Qingdao Shuangrui is the first company in the world to test in China without being in Norway. The land-based experimental facilities are independently designed and built by Qingdao Shuangrui. The testing institutions are all local Chinese laboratories, from the experimental outline and quality assurance plan. The experimental process control and the final experimental report are all completed autonomously.

To this end, in August 2011, the Norwegian Classification Society headquarters sent a senior surveyor and a senior consultant to China to design, build, materials and sampling points for Qingdao Shuangrui and its ground-based experimental base and experimental facilities. The location, sampling piping design, water sample collection, transportation, storage, test details and original records, and third-party testing agencies were all strictly reviewed. The results show that it fully meets the requirements of the International Maritime Organization and the Norwegian Classification Society and is fully compliant with international standards. This is the first time that the Norwegian Classification Society has carried out on-site certification of land-based test sites in China. After a period of more than a dozen rounds of technical details communication, data submission and evaluation, Qingdao Shuangrui was awarded the DNV type approval certificate.

It is also known that in April this year, Qingdao Shuangrui Ballast Water Management System also obtained the French Bureau of Shipping (BV) factory approval certificate.
