Check out this Engineering.com interview with Jeff Kinder about Flex “We can’t predict at the start of a year what any design team is going to need for the year. It all depends on what projects come up, so flexibility is key to be able to cater for that requirement without committing to a massive budget ahead of time before you even know what you need.†- Donogh McGrath, Director of Information Security & Vendor Management To learn more about Flex, visit www.autodesk.com/flex. *Not all products and features will be available with Flex. As part of our ongoing effort to provide customers with purchasing options that reflect real-world usage and deliver measurable value, we’re excited to introduce **Flex**. This new offering combines the advantages of a named user model with the flexibility of a pay-as-you-go approach. Flex became available on **September 24**.
We are among the first in our industry to offer a consumption-based model, which complements our traditional subscriptions and benefits businesses of all sizes. For existing customers, Flex helps ensure they get the most out of Autodesk products while also making it easy to explore other tools in our portfolio that they haven’t used before. For new customers, Flex offers an affordable way to try our software without the commitment of a subscription.
Our goal is to help customers achieve great results by offering solutions that fit their unique needs. We’ve long envisioned a flexible, pay-as-you-go model for the broader market, inspired by the success of our enterprise offerings. The shift to a named user model has given us valuable insights into how customers use our products, and we realized there’s a clear need for users who don’t require daily access.
That’s where Flex comes in. It adds a new layer to our product lineup, working alongside subscriptions or standing alone. It also lowers the entry barrier for new customers, as many of our products are now accessible to those who only need occasional or introductory use.
