There are more than ten kinds of tin- containing minerals. At present, the tin used in industry is mainly derived from cassiterite. Due to the high density of cassiterite (6.4~7.1g/cm 3 ), the main beneficiation method of cassiterite is re-election. However, due to the brittleness of the cassiterite, it is easy to mud in the natural world and in the process of crushing, grinding and sorting. Therefore, it is of great significance to recover the fine cassiterite from the re-election of fine mud and tailings by flotation.
A method of flotation of cassiterite
The cassiterite is easily captured by various fatty acids and their soaps. Therefore, oleic ACID, tal oil, oxidized paraffin soap, nylon 1010 lower foot, alkyl sulfate, alkyl sulfonate, sulfosuccinamide, etc., can be used as a collector of cassiterite. Experimental studies have shown that the use of toluic acid, benzyl phthalic acid and styrene phosphonic acid flotation of cassiterite can sometimes give better indicators.
When oleic acid is used as a collector to float the cassiterite, the pH is generally around 9.0 to 9.5. When toluene is used as a collector to float the cassiterite, the pH value of the rough selection is generally 5-6, and the selected pH value can be reduced to 2.5~4.0. When adjusting the pH value of the slurry, chemicals such as sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate and sulfuric acid are often used.
Cassiterite flotation, the suppression is useful to add water glass silicate minerals associated with hexametaphosphate, sodium phosphate, magnesium, calcium carboxymethylcellulose inhibiting mineral, wolframite added oxalic suppressed.
The raw material for flotation is generally a re-selected tailings of less than 0.04 mm, and the slime less than 0.01 mm is first removed. The ore of a certain tin mine is a high and medium temperature hot liquid cassiterite sulfide deposit. Complex mineral composition, pyrite metal magnetic minerals, magnetite, pyrite, arsenopyrite, bismuthinite, galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite, non-metallic mineral carbonates, silicates Salts and halides. The cassiterite is yellow-brown and black, with fine-grained inlays. Most of the powdered aggregates are embedded in the pyrrhotite, and a small part is scattered in the magnetite and skarn minerals. The largest grain is 0.55mm, the smallest is 0.002mm, and is generally between 0.15~0.02mm. The ore supply of cassiterite flotation is tailings after desulfurization, de-ironing and shaker recovery of coarse-grained cassiterite. The flotation process is shown in Figure 1.

The shaker tailings advanced dehumidifier is dehydrated, and after dehydration, the tailings are discarded by the centrifuge. And then the concentrate was stirred into the centrifuge thickener dehydrated pulp dosing tank. Salicylic acid is used as a collector, sodium carbonate is adjusted to pH value of 7~8, tannin is used as inhibitor, and No. 2 oil is used as foaming agent. The tin concentrate is selected after a coarse, two sweep, three fine and one fine sweep. The ore contains 1.0%~1.3% tin, the flotation concentrate grade is 1.3%~16%, and the recovery rate is 72%~76%.
Production practice shows that the low-toxic salicylic acid can completely replace the highly toxic tannic acid, which greatly reduces the environmental pollution problem in the production and use of pharmaceuticals.
