Overview: A magnetic separator is a machine that separates materials based on their magnetic properties. It can be categorized into dry and wet types. The magnetic separator is one of the most commonly used mining machines due to its simple structure, ease of operation, and maintenance. These separators are widely applied in removing iron powder, resource recovery, timber industry, mining, ceramics, chemicals, and food processing. They are suitable for wet magnetic separation of magnetite, pyrrhotite, roasted ore, ilmenite, and other materials with particle sizes below 3 mm, as well as iron removal from coal, non-metallic minerals, and building materials.
Structure: The magnetic separator mainly consists of a drum, roller, brush roller, magnetic system, tank, and transmission parts. The cylinder is made by rolling and welding 2-3 mm stainless steel plates, and the end cover is an aluminum casting connected with stainless steel screws. The motor controls the speed through a reducer, driving the cylinder and magnetic roll to rotate. The magnetic system is open and installed inside the cylinder, with all magnets exposed. Magnetic blocks are fixed on the yoke plate using stainless steel bolts, and the yoke shaft extends outside the cylinder. The end shaft is secured with a turn arm, allowing adjustment of the magnetic system angle. The trough working area is made of stainless steel, while the frame and other parts of the body are welded with ordinary steel.
Drum Magnetic Separator Price: Drum magnetic separators offer a cost-effective method of recovery unless high-intensity models are required. Electric high-intensity separators capable of producing 20,000 Gauss tend to be expensive. However, rare earth drum magnetic separators are relatively inexpensive and can produce magnetic fields around 6,000 Gauss.
