The first two months of construction machinery products continue to lead Xuzhou exports

Statistics from the Xuzhou City Bureau of Commerce show that from January to February, the city's total import and export volume reached 1.07 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 55.6% year-on-year, and the growth rate remained the first in the province. Of which, exports of 626 million US dollars, an increase of 54.4%, the first increase in the province.

The export of key enterprises is significant. In February, there were 31 key enterprises with exports exceeding US$3 million, an increase of 7 over the same period of last year, with exports of US$436 million, an increase of 91.2%, accounting for 69.6% of the city’s total exports. China Construction Power, Xugong Import and Export, Caterpillar and other energy demand and construction machinery parts and exports continued to lead the city.

Construction machinery exports continue to lead other major products. From January to February, the export of construction machinery was 235 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 168.82% year-on-year, an increase of 79.7 percentage points from the previous month; the export of wood products was 61.791 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 2.53% year-on-year; the export of textile and apparel was 47.151 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 25.1% year-on-year; Steel products exported 39,972,300 U.S. dollars, an increase of 71.9% year-on-year, and pesticide exports were US$21.81 million, an increase of 39% year-on-year.

The growth rate of emerging export markets is rapid, and the markets in Asia and North America are stable. From January to February, the city’s exports to Latin America and Oceania reached US$159 million and US$68.356 million, respectively, an increase of 542.3% and 304.5% year-on-year respectively. Exports to the Asian and North American markets were US$211 million and US$78.686 million, respectively, a year-on-year increase of 14.5% and 34.8%, respectively, indicating that the city’s foreign trade’s ability to resist risks and respond to international complex and volatile situations has further improved.
