This report comes from Eric Haak:

On Sunday morning around 8:15 a.m., a fire broke out at a 25x50, one-and-a-half story brick home located on the 900 block of North Harding in Chicago’s 13th Battalion. Engine 95 was the first unit on scene and immediately reported that the house was fully involved upon arrival. The fire appeared to have started in an enclosed wood-frame porch at the rear of the structure. The home had been vacant for some time and had experienced multiple break-ins, which may have contributed to the situation.

The fire eventually spread to a neighboring home to the north, causing damage to the frame dormer of another one-and-a-half story ordinary structure. Firefighters from Engines 95 and 76, along with Trucks 35 and 26, were on the scene responding to the incident. Truck 36 served as RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) from the 12th Battalion, providing additional support during the operation.

Eric Haak captured several photos of the event, showing the extent of the fire, the responding units, and firefighters in action. These images provide a powerful visual account of the ongoing efforts by the Chicago Fire Department to contain the blaze and protect surrounding properties.
