I've had the privilege of witnessing, through the lens of our customers' incredible work, how a top-tier renderer at the core of the production pipeline can truly transform the creative process. When artists are able to achieve high-quality results quickly—whether it's photorealistic or stylized—it makes all the difference in keeping projects on schedule and on budget.
With the ever-growing demand for content on streaming platforms and the increasing need for episodic storytelling, having a renderer that delivers maximum performance and can scale efficiently is more important than ever in the world of TV and broadcast. It's not just about speed; it's about empowering artists to push boundaries and deliver the best possible visuals.
I always look forward to the Engineering Emmy Awards, an event where the Television Academy celebrates groundbreaking technologies that are shaping the future of television and broadcast production. These innovations are often the unsung heroes behind the scenes, making complex workflows simpler and more efficient.
This year, the Arnold team was honored with an Engineering Emmy for creating a powerful, artist-friendly, and high-quality ray tracing renderer that has become a staple in some of the most popular TV shows today. It’s a well-deserved recognition of their hard work and dedication.
The award was accepted by Marcos Fajardo, Alan King, and Thiago Ize during the 73rd Engineering Emmy Awards, held on October 21 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles. A special mention goes to other key contributors like Iliyan Georgiev, Ramon Montoya, and Adrien Herubel, whose efforts were instrumental in the success of Arnold.
From “Lost in Space†to “Game of Thrones,†Arnold has been trusted by leading VFX and animation studios worldwide to bring cinematic moments, binge-worthy series, and compelling commercials to life. Whether it's look development or final frame rendering, Arnold empowers artists to work faster, scale efficiently, and render even the most complex scenes with ease.
The introduction of Arnold GPU in 2019, built on NVIDIA’s OptiX framework and optimized for NVIDIA RTX technology, further expanded its capabilities, allowing artists to seamlessly switch between CPU and GPU rendering based on project needs.
A huge congratulations to the entire Arnold team for this well-deserved achievement. Their innovation continues to shape the future of visual effects and animation.
