Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, March 9th, Yan Kai, deputy of the National People's Congress and chief engineer of the 702th Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, said on the 9th that China's small "deep-sea mobile workstation" (35-ton class, six people) has been initially built and will be Recently conducted marine assessment tests.
According to reports, the small "deep-sea mobile space station" is the prototype of China's future deep-sea space station. The Deep Sea Space Station is a deep-sea mobile workstation of several thousand tons. It carries manned and unmanned underwater submersibles to complete large-scale underwater complex tasks. The main functions are exploration of oil and gas resources, mineral resources and marine biological resources. Development and maintenance inspection and overhaul of subsea facilities.
Yan Kai said that there is no timetable for the R&D and construction of the “Deep Sea Space Station”, and it is hoped that relevant state departments will carry out overall planning. He said that in the face of the increasingly development of offshore oil and gas resources mining equipment to underwater production systems, and the increasingly urgent development of deep-sea mineral resources, the "deep sea space station" will play a very important role in the development of marine resources. It is recommended that the state increase its investment and fully conquer the key technologies of the “Deep Sea Space Station” and build a “Deep Sea Dragon Palace” of 1,000 tons as soon as possible.

China launched the 10,000-meter manned submersible to demonstrate the "Haogong" sea test in the second half of the year
Beijing Daily
According to the "Science and Technology Daily" news, the representative of the 702 deputy director of the China Shipbuilding Industry Group, Yan Kai, revealed on the 5th that China has proposed the research plan for the 10,000-meter manned submersible, which is currently in the stage of demonstration.
Yan Kai said that the current argument mainly focuses on the research needs and technical feasibility of the project. He said that the "China is expected to implement the 10,000-meter deep-dive test this year", which he had previously circulated, is not accurate. "The work related to the 10,000-meter manned submersible has just started. After the demonstration is over, it can be declared and developed before the sea test can be carried out. It takes a long time," he said.
Following the successful dives of 7062 meters and the completion of the experimental application voyage, CSIC will develop manned submersibles for different depths of water to further expand the “Zhenlong” family. In addition to the 10,000-meter submersible plan, the 4500-meter submersible has been officially established. Yan Kai introduced that its main key technologies have been broken, and the localization rate will be greatly improved.
It is understood that the pressure-resistant spherical shell that forms the passenger compartment of the Xiaolong is made of titanium alloy and is manufactured in Russia. It can withstand a pressure of 7,000 tons per square meter in the 7,000-meter deep sea. In order to develop the 4500-meter submersible, China has carried out research on this technology. The pressure-resistant spherical shell that has been developed has been able to meet the requirements of 4,500 meters. In addition, Yan Kai said that the domestic underwater power system, deep sea motor and other technical equipment have been verified in the 7000-meter sea trial of the Xiaolong No.; the domestic underwater acoustic communication system has excellent performance, and the transmission signal, picture and data can meet the requirements. . According to the plan, the 4500-meter submersible will be completed around 2016 and will be tested at sea. Its mother ship is also under construction.
He also revealed that China's first experimental deep-sea mobile workstation, known as the "Dragon Palace", will continue to conduct pool tests in the first half of this year. In the second half of the year, it plans to conduct functional assessment tests in Dalian Sea Area to verify its functions through operational demonstrations.
It is understood that the platform is 35 tons, working depth is about 150 meters, can carry 6 people working underwater for 12-18 hours, successfully completed the first pool test in November last year. Yan Kai said that after the platform test is completed, if the country can continue to support it, the next step is to build a deep-sea workstation with a capacity of 300 tons and a working depth of 1000–1500 meters. In the future, “Zhenlong” will dock with “Dragon Palace” in the sea, transporting personnel and materials to work in the sea, and complete more marine research and exploration.
