According to Lin Cheng, the priority is to develop a purely electric city commercial vehicle because of its ability to conduct fixed-point operation, centralized charging and balancing of power grids, and development of autonomous technologies.

Lin Cheng also pointed out that if pure electric commercial vehicles want to do better, they must also make progress in several aspects. For example, the structure of the vehicle, the use of high-efficiency drive motors and transmission systems, to improve the standardization of the battery; the application of electric vehicle commercial vehicles also need to be improved, electric vehicles and other drive vehicles are not the same, there is no existing gas station, in addition to In addition to the vehicle technology, the infrastructure must be completed; the rapid battery replacement system also requires research and development, and battery charging stations that try their best to quickly replace the battery. It is better to abandon the vehicle charging scheme and realize the charging in the bin. The high cost of the battery has led to the adoption of the lease model, which will spread the cost of the battery into operation.

Compared with pure electric commercial vehicles, passenger car technology faces greater challenges. The control strategy for passenger cars is complex. The technical requirements for batteries, motors, and vehicles are even higher, and the overall layout is also more compact. At the same time, pure-electric passenger cars also require comfort, intelligence, safety, and reliability. Taking electric commercial vehicles as a breakthrough point and doing as much as possible to promote the development of parts and components can provide experience and foundation for the development of pure electric passenger vehicles.
