·Yunhai Metal and BAIC Group jointly develop magnesium alloy parts

Recently, Nanjing Yunhai Special Metal Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Company” or “Yunhai Metal”) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Beiqi Group”). The two parties will operate in accordance with the development trend of the domestic and international automotive industry and market needs, in accordance with the mechanism of streamlining, high efficiency, openness, production, study and research, and strengthen strategic cooperation in the development of auto parts, new materials applications, product testing and evaluation of BAIC Group. Integrate the resources of both parties and establish a comprehensive strategic partnership for technological innovation and product development.
The two parties will conduct regular or irregular technical exchanges on the demand for new materials, new products, new processes and new models; cooperate closely in the application of new magnesium-aluminum alloys and data sharing; cooperate in the various models of BAIC Group Lightweight material substitution, optimization design, molding trial evaluation, etc., cooperation in the development of dashboard components, seat brackets and other automotive parts.
According to the announcement of the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement, Yunhai Metal and BAIC Group will also develop and apply high-performance low-cost magnesium alloy components. The two sides formed a special scientific research group to jointly promote new materials and processes such as new magnesium-aluminum alloy, die-casting parts, extruded pipe profiles, sheet metal, extrusion forging, CMT and FSW welding, hydroforming, hot stamping, etc. on BAIC Group's models. Trial and batch use to improve the competitiveness of the model.
The cooperation agreement is valid for five years. Yunhai Metal said that it is cooperating with BAIC Group and is directly cooperating with auto manufacturers. It has a positive impact on the company's new product development, technology improvement and mass production of products, and improves the company's products in the light weight of automobiles. The speed of application promotion, direct communication with automobile manufacturers, the use of their respective technologies and resource advantages, to achieve resource sharing, and promote mutual win-win and common development.
