Michelin will invest in production expansion in Poland

French tyre supplier Michelin plans to invest 81 million zloty (about 28.5 million US dollars) at the Olsztyn plant in Poland, increasing the tire production of the plant from 447,000 to 588 thousand pieces, or 31.5%.

Michelin will add three sets of tire production equipment to the factory and use Ultraflex technology for tire production. It is estimated that 95% of the tires produced by this factory will be exported to markets in North America and Western Europe.

According to data released by the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, by 2015, the number of employees in the Michelin Olsztyn factory will be at least 4,154. Michelin's investment will create new job opportunities for Poland.

The Olsztyn factory in Michelin Poland is located in the Warminsko-Mazurska Special Economic Zone. At present, the factory employs more than 4,300 people.
