Based on the independently developed HiMSEN engine, Hyundai Heavy Industries has recently successfully developed a new high-powered engine 16H32/40V for ships, with a rated output of 11,000 hp.
It is reported that this new type of engine has been successfully tested and is currently undergoing inspections by national classification societies such as Norway and the United States, and will be put into mass production in 2009.
