Recently, Tsinghua University Institute of Nuclear Energy and New Energy Technology (INET) completed the 10MW high-temperature gas-cooled experimental reactor (HTR-10) in 2001 under the support of the national “863†program, and reached full power operation in 2003. The research on nuclear energy hydrogen production technology is also listed as a special research and development project, and the third phase of research work is currently underway. Li Fu, deputy chief engineer of the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology of Tsinghua University, said that INET has established a laboratory-scale hydrogen production unit, and is conducting research on industrial-scale hydrogen production technology, and has also conducted long-term research on hydrogen fuel cells. . The current research focus also includes the coupling technology between hydrogen production units and high temperature gas cooled reactors, and cooperates with other industries such as steel making.
