This is a report from Eric Haak:

Here are some photos capturing the scene as firefighters worked on a MABAS Box in Oak Forest on the morning of December 30th. The initial call was received by Markham Fire Department for a commercial property located at 165th and Pulaski around 4:42 AM. Markham Engine 33 arrived first and reported that the fire was in a small warehouse with visible flames through the roof. It was later determined that this was actually an Oak Forest call, and they were dispatched shortly after.

The fire was in a 50x50 metal-clad building that appeared to be filled with various vehicles. The nearest hydrant was about 300 feet away, and access to the site was very tight. The alarm was boxed at 5:11 AM. Firefighters used three lines to extinguish the fire from the front of the structure, and vent holes were eventually cut in the rear. I didn’t stay until the fire was fully out, so I can't provide details beyond that. Temperatures remained just above freezing throughout the incident.
