In March 2020, the Flyability team had big plans to host our first U.S. user conference in Denver, Colorado, to mark the opening of our first office in the region. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing concerns around the global pandemic, we had to cancel the event. But instead of letting that opportunity pass, we’re bringing the conference to you through a special webinar series starting on Thursday, April 9, and continuing throughout May. The original 2020 User Conference was set to feature a wide range of presentations and panel discussions focused on indoor UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) inspections across various industries in the U.S., including Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Mining. We had over 200 attendees registered, along with an impressive lineup of speakers from top industry leaders such as DJI and Pix4D, standards organizations like API and ASME, and program creators at companies like Chevron and Duke Energy. While the physical event didn’t happen, the content and insights were too valuable to be lost. That’s why we’re excited to present a series of webinars featuring the same keynote speakers who were originally scheduled for the conference. Here’s what’s coming up: **April 9 – The Future of Drone Inspections: Learn How API and ASME Experts Are Expanding Drone Inspection Applications** Join Luis Pulgarin from ASME and Suzanne Lemieux from API as they discuss how drone technology is reshaping inspection standards and practices. *When:* Thursday, April 9 at 10:30 AM EST / 4:30 PM CEST *Register now to view a recording.* **April 14 – How Country-of-Origin Drone Bans Impact U.S. Companies & Agencies Including Public Safety Agencies Fighting COVID-19** Jordan Gross and Romeo Durscher from DJI will explore the implications of drone import restrictions on U.S. businesses and public safety efforts. *When:* Tuesday, April 14 at 11:30 AM EST / 5:30 PM CEST *Register now to view a recording.* **April 21 – 3D Modeling with Indoor Drones: Applications and Implications** Andrew McIntyre from Pix4D and Marc Gandillon from Flyability will dive into the latest developments in indoor drone-based 3D modeling. *When:* Tuesday, April 21 at 10:30 AM EST / 4:30 PM CEST *Register now to view a recording.* **April 22 – How to Build and Scale a Drone Program at Your Company** Calvin Rieb from Cargill and James Manni from TVA will share their experiences and best practices for launching and expanding drone programs. *When:* Wednesday, April 22 at 10:30 AM EST / 4:30 PM CEST *Register now to view a recording.* **April 28 – Drones in Oil & Gas: How Chevron Uses Drones to Improve Safety, Reduce Downtimes, and Save Money** Larry Barnard and Mauricio Calva from Chevron will reveal how drones are transforming operations in the oil and gas sector. *When:* Tuesday, April 28 at 10:30 AM EST / 4:30 PM CEST *Register now to view a recording.* **April 30 – Indoor 3D Modeling Use Cases: Photogrammetry in Action** Laurie McBean and Gregory Spirlet will demonstrate real-world applications of photogrammetry using indoor drones. *When:* Thursday, April 30 at 11:30 AM EST / 5:30 PM CEST *Register now to view a recording.* **May 14 – Drones in Power Generation: How Exelon Clearsight Uses Drones to Improve Safety, Reduce Downtimes, and Save Money** Chris Place from Exelon Clearsight and Marc Gandillon from Flyability will explain how drones are making power generation safer and more efficient. *When:* Thursday, May 14 at 10:30 AM EST / 4:30 PM CEST *Register now to save your seat.* **May 20 – How to Perform Safer Confined Spaces Inspections Using Drones** Alexandre Meldem from Flyability will walk you through best practices for using drones in challenging, confined environments. *When:* Wednesday, May 20 at 2:00 PM EST / 12:00 PM MST *Register now to save your seat.* We had a full slate of 12 keynotes planned for the original event, which means there's even more coming soon.
